What's In A Tag Line?

Back in April of 2007, I was invited out to a BNI breakfast by a friend. As the 25+ people around the table stood up one by one and delivered their 60-second "infomercial" about their businesses, it occured to me that they all had a tag line. Something that was catchy... "big on small business" as an example, was the tag line of my accountant friend that had invited me. When it came to my turn, I quickly tried to put something together, but it just didn't fit.

After the meeting, still struggling with a tag line, I was browsing through some clipart and came across a picture of a business woman relaxing with her feet up on a desk, and a picture of a man in a shirt and tie leaning back in his chair with his fingers locked behind his head. Relax. I was on to something...

I strive to make Information Technology as painless as possible for my clients. When I am on site, dealing with a client request, my goal is to make sure they're happy with the results. Essentially, when I'm on the job, they can take comfort in knowing a resolution is soon to follow. They can relax because I'm taking care of the problem. Then it clicked. Relax, we're on IT! At last! A tag line that had meaning... and was catchy. I tried it out at the next BNI breakfast and received great feedback on it. So it stuck.

A business tag line, catch phrase, memory hook, whatever you want to call it, shouldn't just be witty. It should mean something. Something we take to heart at Marari Network Solutions. So remember... when you call on us to help out, you can...
